50s Revisited

I loved Jason Wu's campaign for Spring/Summer '12. I was not a fan of his F/W show but the photos of the new campaign is right up my alley - loving the vintage inspiration. Florals, sleek silhouettes and the classic elegance is just beautiful. Kudos to the photographer Willy Vanderperre. Styling is by Joe McKenna and the model is Julia Frauche.

Pretty Young Things' photography is brilliant. Go follow her work, you'll be pleased!

Rainy Days in London IV

National Museum

YES, more London photos for a Monday morning. Sadly, photography is not allowed in National Museum or I'd shoot the crap out of that building which I love so much. After seeing a Boticelli and a Van Gogh in flesh (or in canvas, you know), I felt like I leveled up. I love museums way too much. And it was one of the few days that were actually sunny despite the freezing weather. I don't mind, I love cold and I love rain. It doesn't bother me. Also, I got to visit my most favorite DVD shop, Lovejoys. I swear, one day I'll lose it and buy every single dvd that's on the 1920s-1930s section.

And there was another visit to Sherlock Holmes Museum as well.

It's hard to believe that it's been more than a month since I came back from London. *le sigh*

Also I have a Tumblr account, if anyone wants to follow. It's mostly an invasion of old photography, illustrations, questionnaires about my writing and characters and randomness at all levels. Clickety-click click.

Rainy Days in London III

Dolls

I've already shared some photos from Museum of London but I love the place so much, I'll post some more. And lucky us, they didn't bring down the Christmas decorations down yet. Victorian street with fake snow and ornaments - my kind of fun. And when I get married, I'm definitely asking for a dollhouse like this. Probably the best gif a husband has ever given to his wife. Everything was handmade and walls are painted by hand as well. Just brilliant.

My brain is sleeping today, I can't seem to focus on anything useful. So instead, I am editing photos and making blog posts as I listen to the sound of snow melting outside. More snow blizzard is on the menu so I am not very excited about finally being able to 'walk' on the pavement. And I really can't stand bad music but what are you going to do if you have to, right?

And this is what I did on Valentine's Day, if anyone's wondering.

Hang in there, only two more days 'till Friday.

Eros & Psyche

E&S

I really love old books and antique book shops. Charing Cross is the promised land to any old book lover in the world. This one was from an infamous second hand and antique bookshop who also sells new books; but I can't remember the name right now, so I'll pass that. I have a whole bunch old books date back to late 1880s -I can't afford that massive 16th century poetry book of course and it's a pain for my heart- and Eros & Psyche is definitely going to be a favorite. I love the story.

Do you like old books or you're the brand new publishes kind of person? Or maybe ebooks even? I pledge to read the printed word. x

Rainy Days in London II

Palace Theatre

We are celebrating the freezing February with joy and laughter, here in Ankara. It's -22 C in the early mornings; so if you've been whining about how cold the weather is whereever you are, you may stop. Although I am enjoying the coldest winter I've ever seen in my entire life, it can be disturbing and unnerving; since I've lost all my will to keep going to the gym (which I really must go to), get out of the house for a drink or see people in general. I may accomplish a new level of success by never stepping a foot out of my home for the entire winter season. And I am losing my muse for writing which is super annoying, and the fact that I can't keep boosting my ego about how great this story will be is making things worse. If you feel like it, you may compliment my skills that you absolutely don't give a snowflake about.

I hope you're enjoying a nice of cup of hot beverage while enjoying my London photos Part 2. Because I'm not and the office is cold.

This has been a cranky post. Loves xx

The Winter Wonderland was so delightful, and even though the ferris wheel was freezing and swinging with the wind, I enjoyed it a lot. And we got to watch the very first episode of BBC Sherlock's 2nd Season that night. What a wonderful day it was.
